Building Extension Project | Enhancing Educational Capacity
The extension project of Primary School “Sami Frashëri” in the Municipality of Bogovinje is currently ongoing and represents a targeted investment aimed at increasing the school’s spatial capacity and improving the overall quality of the educational environment. The project envisages the construction of approximately 400 m² of new educational space, addressing the existing shortage of classrooms and creating conditions for the introduction of single‑shift teaching.
As part of the ongoing implementation, the extension includes four new functional spaces: one classroom, two specialised teaching rooms and one teachers’ office, supported by communication areas and sanitary facilities. Accessibility is an integral component of the project, with the inclusion of sanitary facilities designed for persons with disabilities, ensuring inclusive and barrier‑free use of the building.
Architecturally and functionally, the extension is being developed to integrate seamlessly with the existing school facility. Designed with a ground floor plus one upper floor (G+1), the new structure follows the form, scale and roofing concept of the original building, allowing the school to continue operating as a coherent and unified educational complex.
The ongoing project is expected to achieve:
- increased classroom capacity and improved spatial organisation
- conditions enabling the implementation of single‑shift education
- enhanced accessibility, safety and functional performance
- improved learning and working conditions for students and staff
The extension project of Primary School “Sami Frashëri” constitutes an ongoing contribution to the long‑term development of primary education in the municipality, aiming to deliver a modern, inclusive and efficient learning environment that responds to the evolving needs of current and future generations.
